Location This luxury hotel is located only about 2.5 km from the Jebel Ali Palm Island Development, a large man-made island in the shape of a palm tree which will be home to a variety of entertainment and residential complexes on completion. While the present development work is clearly visible from the hotel, the sounds that can be heard have been described by guests as similar to that of distant thunder. They do not impact on the enjoyment that can be had at this resort.

Facilities This air-conditioned beach hotel is a member of “The Leading Hotels of the World” and is situated within 517,997 m² of grounds on the golden shores of the Arabian Gulf. On offer are a total of 395 rooms, including 134 spacious deluxe rooms with sea views in the upmarket Palm Tree Court. The hotel is renowned for its wide array of leisure and sporting activities. Amongst the hotel facilities count a lobby area, lift access, a café, a range of shops, a bar, a restaurant, a conference room and parking for those arriving by car.

Rooms The 134 deluxe rooms form their own complex in a separate area and feature their own reception desk, a spa area, restaurants, bars, and shops. This complex was completed in December 2000 and lies only a few paces from the beach. It consists of six buildings with three storeys each, offering guests views over the tropical sands. The glass doors on the upper floors open to the spacious balconies, which allow guests to enjoy the open air, dine in the open, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful sunsets over the Arabian Gulf. Guests in all the other 260 rooms of this hotel have views over a pleasant tropical landscape, including the lovely beach, the marina, and the golf course. The rooms with views of the golf course or the sea are situated on the first foor floors, while the fifth floor contains the superior rooms with views over both the sea and the golf course. The rooms have all been tastefully decorated in attractive warm colours and offer guests luxury amenities, including an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, and a hire safe.

Sports/Entertainment Leisure facilities include two swimming pools with a children's paddling area in addition to a range of massage and spa offerings (charges apply). Sports enthusiasts are offered water sports such as catamaraning, in addition to tennis, squash, and badminton. It is also possible to play golf, take advantage of the hotel’s own championship standard par nine 36-hole golf course, visit the marina or shooting club, or go fishing.
